Day 1
Delhi: Arrive Delhi. You will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Indias capital & a major gateway to the country, Delhi is contemporary and a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its fold the ancient & the modern. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2
Amritsar: Proceed to railway station to board your train to Amritsar.This sixteenth century city, highly regarded as a sacred center for Sikhs, is a notable place to get a view of Sikh culture. Arrive Amritsar and check in to your hotel. Visit Jallianwala Bagh in 1919, this park witnessed the massacre of hundreds of civilian women and children, spearheaded by British Brigadier-General Reginald Dye. To honour those innocent lives that were lost, this memorial was built to mark the great tragedy. Later, visit the Wagha border, which is Indias only road crossing border with neighboring Pakistan. At this ceremonial border point, guards from both countries perform the lowering of the flags every evening. Overnight in Amritsar.
Day 3
Dharamshala:Proceed to visit the Golden Temple, the holiest shrine for the Sikh community. Later drive to Dharamshala (220kms/ 7hrs) enroute visit Brijeshwar Temple. This stone temple was constructed in the 8th Century. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the towering Dhauladhar ranges, Dharamshala, lies perched up on the high slopes of the Kangra valley. Arrive Dharamshala and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 4
Dharamshala: Proceed to the village of McLeod Ganj. Visit the Tsuglagkhang Dalai Lama temple and monastery of the 14th Dalai Lama. Across the Dalai Lama Temple courtyard is Namgyal Monastery. Later, visit the Norbulingka Institute which was created to promote and preserve Tibetan culture in exile. Overnight in Dharamshala.
Day 5
Manali: Drive to Manali (250 kms / 8 hrs) enroute stop at the Baijnath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Perched at an altitude of 2050 meters above sea level and spread along the banks of the river Beas, Manali is literally the “Valley of the Gods”. Arrive Manali and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Manali.
Day 6
Jispa: Drive to Jispa (147 kms/ 7 hrs) Located on the Bagha River, Jispa is known for its sounds of nature and spectacular natural beauty. Arrive Jispa and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Jispa.
Day 7
Sarchu : Drive to Sarchu (75 kms/ 5 hrs) Again, the ride to Sarchu is just as memorable as the destination Sarchu itself is surrounded by cold desert mountains. Arrive Sarchu and check in to your tented accommodation. Overnight in Sarchu.
Day 8
Tsomoriri: Drive to Tsomoriri (173 kms/ 7 hrs). En-route visits the Tsokar Lake. The lake has rich deposits of impure salt on its northern shore. Also, visit the Polo Koanga Pass and Sungo village. Arrive Tsomoriri and check in to your tented accommodation. Overnight in Tsomoriri.
Day 9
Leh: Proceed to visit the Korzok Monastery which is situated on the western bank of the lake. Later drive to Leh (220 kms/ 7 hrs). Lapped in the snow-covered fringes of the Himalayas, Leh India has been the center of Tibeto-Buddhist culture since ages. Arrive and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Leh.
Day 10
Leh: Proceed to explore the monasteries in Leh. Visit Thiksey Monastery. Visit the Hemis Hemis monastery which was constructed in 1630, and is the largest monastery in the region. Thereafter, explore the Shey Monastery or Gompa and the Shey Palace complex … these structures are located on a hillock in Shey, to the south of Leh. Overnight in Leh.
Day 11
Lamayuru: Drive to Lamayuru (140 kms / 5 hrs ) en route visit Likir a small town famous for its Monastery. Arrive Lamayuru and check in to your hotel. Later, visit the Lamayuru Monastery it is one of the oldest monasteries in the region, Lamaruyu is set against a stark landscape making views spell binding. Overnight in Lamaruyu.
Day 12
Themisgam: Proceed to the ruins of the fortress and later drive to Themisgam Monastery ( 40 kms/ 1 hrs). The barren and remote setting of the monastery makes this visit an unforgettable one. Overnight in Themisgam.
Day 13
Uleytokpo: Drive to Uleytokpo (35 kms/1 hrs). En route visit the Ridzong Monastery and the Thardot Cheoling Nunnery. The monastery is very isolated and the monastic community follows strict rules and regulations. This Gelugpa (yellow hat) monastery is about 120 years old and contains beautiful wall paintings. Overnight in Uleytokopo.
Day 14
Leh: Drive to Leh (75 kms/ 3 hrs) en-route you will visit Alchi. The Alchi Gompa is renowned and celebrated monastery in Ladakh. Arrive Leh and check in to your hotel. Later, visit the Shanti Stupa. Constructed by a Japanese Buddhist organization for world peace, the stupa is a magnificent white-domed structure offering spectacular views of the sunrise and sunset. Overnight in Leh.
Day 15
Delhi/Onwards: Proceed to the airport to board your flight to Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, drive past Red Fort, President House, India Gate and several other government buildings. Later, proceed to the airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
