Day 1

Kochi: Arrive in Kochi. You will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Kochi (colonial name Cochin) is a vibrant city, also referred to as the Gateway to Kerala. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 2

Kochi: Proceed for a half day tour of Kochi. Visit Fort Kochi… walks to the church of St Francis, the oldest European-built church in the country. Also explore the 282-year-old Dutch Cemetery in Fort Kochi. Continue your tour with a visit to Mattancherry, where you will visit the historic synagogue in the Jewish Quarter, built over 400 years ago. Thereafter, drive past the amazing Chinese Fishing Nets, strung out along the tip of the peninsula. In the evening, witness a Kathakali dance performance. Kathakali is the most recognized dance drama form in Kerala. It dates back to the seventeenth century and is deeply rooted in mythology, taking it themes from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. Overnight in Kochi.

Day 3

Athirapally:Drive to Athirapally (48 kms / 1.5 hrs approx). Enroute visiting Guruvayur Temple and Elephant camp. The idol of the famous Sri Krishna Temple here is said to have been worshipped by Lord Brahma himself. The temple is renowned for its healing powers. Arrive Athirapally and check in to your hotel. Overnight in Athirapally.

Day 4

Wayanad: Proceed for a half-day tour of Athirapally. The land of rivers, forests and great waterfalls…this area has the largest waterfall in Kerala. Visit the Athirapally waterfall, a bewitching cascade of foaming water that drops 80 feet into the Chalakkudy River below. Also visit the Vazhachal falls, in the same area. These falls are part of the Chalakkudy River… their cool, misty waters cascading down in the backdrop of thick green forest and rocky terrain, are a scintillating experience for visitors. Afternoon, drive to Wayanad (254 kms / 5 hrs approx). Arrive Wayanad and check in to your hotel. Overinght in Wayanad.

Day 5

Wayanad: Proceed for a full-day tour of Wayanad. Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for its tigers and leopards, along with the other wildlife that one can find here. Visit the Thirunelly Temple and Pookot Lake. Overnight in Wayanad.

Day 6

Calicut: Drive to Calicut (59 kms / 1.5 hrs approx). Arrive Calicut and check in to your hotel. Proceed for a full-day tour of Calicut. Visit the Krishna Menon Museum Art Gallery, which exhibits exquisite paintings and intricately carved wood and ivory objets dart, including paintings by Raja Ravi Varma. Also visit the Pazhassirajah Museum run by the State Archeological Department. Ancient mural paintings, antique bronzes, old coins, models of temples, and megalithic structures are on display here. Visit S M Street, or Sweet Meat Street, famous for its sweet makers and delicious ‘halwa’. You can buy rolls of the famous printed calico cotton that Calicut is named after. Overnight in Calicut.

Day 7

Onwards: Drive to Trivandrum airport (380 kms / 6.5 hrs approx) to board the flight for your onward destination.
