Day 1

Arrive Delhi Welcome to India and to Delhi, the capital city of modern India. On arrival, you are received and transferred to your hotel. Hotel check-in time is 12 noon. The rest of the day is free you to relax. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2

Delhi Your morning sightseeing tour of Old Delhi begins with a visit to Jama Mosque, the largest mosque in India, built in 1650 AD. This is followed by a drive past the 17th century Red Fort (closed on Mondays), built by Emperor Shah Jahan, creator of the Taj Mahal. Later proceed to Raj Ghat - the site of the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Your afternoon sightseeing tour of New Delhi begins with a drive past Safdarjangs Tomb (1753 AD) while on your way to the famed Qutab Minar (1193 AD). Continue your tour to visit the Humayuns Tomb. Later drive through the Embassy area, Diplomatic enclave, stop for a quick photo shoot at India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Estate formerly Viceroys House) and Connaught Place, New Delhis main shopping area. Overnight in Delhi.

Day 3

Delhi / SariskaDrive from Delhi to Sariska (200kms / 4.5hours). Upon arrival check in to your hotel. Enjoy game viewing in the park this afternoon. Sariska is one of Rajasthans richest wildlife sanctuaries. The famed cats at Sariska include the Tiger, Panther and Leopard. The other wildlife includes the Sambhar, Spotted Deer, Chowsingha, Gazelle, Nilgai, Langaur, Rhesus Monkey, Porcupine, Ratel and Wild Boar. Overnight in Sariska.

Day 4

Sariska / JaipurEarly morning game viewing in the park. Return to hotel for breakfast. Later drive from Sariska to Jaipur (160kms / 4hours). Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is a picturesque city in a symphony of pink, surrounded by hills topped with rugged fortresses and dotted with fairy tale palaces. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 5

Jaipur This morning you proceed for an excursion to Amer Fort, famed for Rajput architecture visible in the palace hallways and chambers. In the afternoon, proceed on a city tour visiting the magnificent stone observatory Jantar Mantar (1728 AD) and the opulent City Palace built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal style. Drive past the Hawa Mahal (1799 AD), an intriguing Palace of Winds. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 6

Jaipur / RanthamboreDrive from Jaipur to Ranthambore (156kms / 3.5hours). The Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary extends over an area of 392 sq kms of thick forest. The place abounds in the scenic beauty and is a refuge for both the carnivorous and herbivorous animals including the Tiger, Leopard, Hyena, Jackal, Sloth Beer, Wild Boar, Spotted Deer, Sambhar, Chinkara and Nilgai (blue bull). The common Langaur (monkey) abound in the trees. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Afternoon game viewing in the park. Overnight in Ranthambore.

Day 8

Ranthambore / Bharatpur Post breakfast, drive from Ranthambore to Bharatpur (248kms / 6hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Afternoon bird watching at the Bharatpur National Park. Also known as the Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary, it is located about 55 kms from Agra. The sanctuary is home to over 353 species belonging to 56 families, of which the most famous are the endangered Siberian Cranes which migrate here during the winters. The 29 sq km expanse is also home to animals like Chital, Black Buck, Deer, Pythons, other reptiles and rich aquatic plants.  Enjoy viewing migratory aquatic birds and practice your photography skills. Overnight in Bharatpur.

Day 9

Bharatpur / AgraDrive from Bharatpur to Agra (56kms / 2hours) en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. This deserted, red sandstone city, built by Emperor Akbar, between 1570 and 1585, was the capital of the Moghul Empire for a brief period. Continue your drive to Agra and upon arrival check in to your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a city tour to experience the TAJ MAHAL (closed on Fridays), an extravagant marble monument of love, built by Shah Jahan in 1653 as a memorial to his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Continue your tour to the red sandstone Agra Fort built by Moghul Emperor Akbar in 1565. Overnight in Agra.

Day 10

Agra / Jhansi / KhajurahoTransfer from hotel to the Railway Station in time for the Shatabdi Express train to Jhansi. Upon arrival at the Railway Station, drive to Khajuraho (170kms / 4.5hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Khajuraho, carries the legacy of the Chandela Dynasty that ruled central India between 950 and 1050 AD. Visit the 25 odd surviving temples, famed for their erotic carvings, are a UNESCO World Heritage site. The temples rise in many peaks and spirals, intricately carved and designed with statues and friezes. Overnight in Khajuraho.  

Day 11

Khajuraho / BandhavgarhDrive from Khajuraho to Bandhavgarh (240kms / 6hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. The Bandhavgarh National Park, formerly the private reserve of the Maharaja of Rewa, is spread over an area of 110 sq kms. It abounds in a variety of flora and fauna including the Tiger, Gaur, Leopard, Wild Boar, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Antelope, the Indian Gazelle, Blue Bull, Common Langaur, Rhesus Monkey, Sloth Bear and more than 150 species of birds. A few Black Buck may also be seen at the 11th century fort atop the central hill of the park. The park is also home to a number of palaces, which are of historical and archaeological importance. Afternoon game viewing (closed on Wednesday afternoon). Overnight in Bandhavgarh.

Day 13

Bandhavgarh / KanhaDrive to Kanha (280kms / 6hours) and upon arrival check in to your hotel. Situated in the sylvan surroundings of Satpura Hills, the Kanha National Park is spread over 940 sq kms. The tropical semi-evergreen forest is home to the Gaur, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Musk Shrew, Blue Bull, Sambhar, Deer, palm squirrel and over 150 bird species. Afternoon game viewing by jeep (closed on Wednesday afternoon). Overnight in Kanha.

KanhaEarly morning and late afternoon game viewing by jeep. Overnight in Kanha.

Day 15

Kanha / Nagpur / MumbaiDrive from Kanha to Nagpur (280kms / 6-7hours) airport in time to board your flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to the International airport terminal for your onward flight.
