Day 1
Guwahati Arrival Meet & greet on arrival at Guwahati airport & transfer to Hotel. Later visit Sankardeva Kalakhetra. Dinner & overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 2
Guwahati - Shillong After breakfast check out of hotel & drive to Shillong (100 kms / 3 hrs drive from Guwahati airport). Check-in Hotel. Enroute visit Umiam Lake. Overnight in Shillong
Day 3
Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong After breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms / 2 hrs drive). Later local sightseeing in Cherrapunjee. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 4
Shillong - Tezpur / Bhalukpong After breakfast drive to Tezpur / Bhalukpong (325 kms / 7 hrs drive). Check in to hotel. Overnight in Tezpur / Bhalukpong.
Day 5
Tezpur - Dirang After breakfast drive to Dirang, bye-passing Bomdila (195 kms / 6 ½ hrs drive approx.). Overnight stay.
Day 6
Dirang - Tawang After breakfast drive to Tawang (175 kms / 7 hrs drive), en-route Sella Pass at 13,700 ft. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 7
Tawang Full day visit including Tawang Monastery, Penga Ten Tso (PTTso) Lake, craft centre and local market. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 8
Tawang - Bomdila After breakfast drive to Bomdila (155 kms / 7 ½ hrs drive). Overnight Stay.
Day 9
Bomdila - Kaziranga After breakfast drive to Kaziranga (280 kms / 8 hrs drive). Check in to Jupuri Ghar or similar. Overnight in Kaziranga.
Day 10
Kaziranga Early morning go for Elephant ride@ 5AM.Return for Breakfast Jeep safari in the Central Range. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Day 11
Kaziranga - Kohima After breakfast transfer to Kohima (260 Kms / 6 hrs drive). Check in Hotel Japhu or similar. Overnight in Kohima.
Day 12
Kohima After breakfast full day visit to Kohima including world war cemetery, Kohima village. Overnight in Kohima.
War cemetery: The well maintained memorial commemorates brave soldiers and warriors who laid their lives fighting the Japanese during the World War II. It is embellished by two tall crosses against the backdrop of seasonal roses & lush grass. The base of the lower cross, is engraved with touching lines: “When you go home, tell them of us & say; For your tomorrow, we gave our today”
Nagaland state Museum: it is housed in ancestral weaponry & provides an insight into the Naga culture, traditions & history. The exquisitely carved gateposts, status pillars, statues & traditional Naga costumes & jewellery are the main exhibits of the museum.
Kohima village: The village is said to be the biggest & most populous in entire Asia. According to Naga legend, the present day Kohima was founded here. At the entrance are exquisitely carved ceremonial gates, with the scimitar of horns of mithun (Bos Frontalis), symbolizing bravery & valor. The Catholic Cathedral at Aradura Hill in Kohima, is one of the biggest cathedrals in North-east India. Its splendid architecture makes it one of the important landmarks of Kohima. The unique design created by blending the traditional with the orthodox developed into an architectural marvel. A must-visit place in Kohima
Day 13
Kohima - Imphal After breakfast drive to Imphal (150 Kms / 5 ½ hrs drive) through the breathtaking mountain scenery. Later transferred to Hotel Classic or similar. Rest of the day free for own activities.Overnight at Hotel.
Day 14
Imphal Tour the capital including Loktak lake , Zoological Gardens, Khonghampat rchidarium, Shri Govindajee Temple, Khwairamband Bazaar, Manipur State Museum and Shahid Minar.
Day 15
Imphal Airport Departure (250 Kms / 5 Hrs) After breakfast transfer to Imphal airport for onward journey. Tour Ends Here.
NOTE
1. Arunachal Pradesh is very remote place, so all hotels in this region are basic to very very basic.
2. Road conditions from Bhalukpong to Tawang are very bad.
3. To visit Arunachal Pradesh, Indian national requires Inner Line Permits. Permits are issued in Guwahati which takes 2-3 working days.
4. Documents required: 2 passport size photographs, 1 Photo identity, 1 Address proof.
