Day 1
Arrive Manchester Airport - Wales
Arrive Manchester and pick up your vehicle and drive to North Wales to arrive Llandudno which is around 1.5hrs away through the scenic beauty of the country. You arrive Llandudno which is a very elegant Victorian/Edwardian sea-side resort with a range of traditional family activities. Families can enjoy the beaches, Punch and Judy shows, visiting the pier attractions -(the longest pier in Wales). For the more active hire bicycles to enjoy the off road coastal cycle path or a climb up the Great Orme where there are superb views of Snowdonia, the Isle of Man and Anglesey. The tramway to the summit (as an alternative) is itself an unique experience of Victorian railway engineering - the only cable hauled tramway still operating in Great Britain. Overnight in Wales.
Day 2
Llandudno
Day trip to Caernarfon to visit Caernarfon Castle -the location of the investiture of the Princes of Wales since 1911-the most recent in 1969 when Prince Charles was "crowned" Prince of Wales. Afternoon trip on Welsh Highland Railway from Caernarfon to Porthmadog; a narrow gauge steam railway that winds through Snowdonia to link with the Ffestiniog railway at Porthmadog. Enjoy the climb from sea level to over 650ft to the foothills of Snowdon, before zig-zagging dramatically down the steep hillside to reach Beddgelert, in the heart of the National Park, then through the magnificent Aberglaslyn Pass and on to Porthmadog. Alternatively leave train en-route and stroll through the beautiful countryside returning on a later train. Overnight in Llandudno.
Day 3
Llandudno
If you have teenagers, you might take in Zip World near Bethesda and experience the longest zip wire in Europe. Continue to Llanberis to the heart of Snowdonia for access to the famous Snowdonia Mountain Railway to ride to the top of Snowdon -the highest peak in Wales. Alternatively (especially if wet) visit the superb Llanberis Slate Museum. Overnight in Llandudno.
Day 4
Llandudno / Pembrokshire
Leave Llandudno early for journey through the Heart of Wales to visit King Arthurs labyrinth; an underground storytelling adventure where you join a mysterious Dark Age boatman and sail underground, through a waterfall and back across a thousand years. Overnight in Pembrokshire.
Day 5
Pembrokshire
There is so much to see and do in this very special part of Wales from a walk along the stunning coastal path, visits to some of the best beaches in the world, a days Golf, boat trips or for the truly adventurous a day exploring the coast line in Kayaks, coasteering (a combination of rock scrambling and jumping from cliffs into the sea!) snorkelling and fishing. Overnight in Pembroksire.
Day 6
Pembrokshire / Cardiff
On the way from Pembrokeshire, visit the Museum of Welsh Life, Europes biggest and most exciting open air museum where buildings from across Wales have been re-located to provide an historic timeline set in a beautiful 100 acre park on the outskirts of Cardiff. Arrive Cardiff and overnight in Cardiff.
Day 7
Cardiff
Enjoy a morning in Cardiff Bay visiting the Millennium centre which is free admission, a boat trip across the bay to see the Cardiff bay barrier and Penarth or meet the Daleks at the "Doctor Who Experience". Take a tour of the Millennium stadium and enter the "Dragons Lair" the home of the Welsh rugby team or visit Cardiff Castle where Romans, Normans and Victorians have left their mark. Overnight in Cardiff.
Day 8
Cardiff / Manchester
Drive back from Cardiff to Manchester airport which takes around 3.5hrs (nonstop) and drop off the vehicle at the airport due to strict car rental rules. We would highly recommend you to take an extension for 2 nights in Manchester and hence after dropping the car at the airport, it is recommended to take the train from the airport itself to the city center which is just 20 minutes away. Make your way to the city center hotel and check in and relax. Evening you can come nose-to-nose with sharks and prepare for astonishingly close views of everything from humble starfish and seahorses to graceful rays and more than 5,000 Sea Creatures. Sea Life Manchester will transport you into the amazing underwater world. See that you enter the Sea Aquarium before 5pm as the Aquarium shuts by 7pm. Overnight in Manchester.
Day 9
Manchester
Today following breakfast a day for you to explore the city family friendly attractions as you can visit the world famous Manchester Uniteds Old Trafford football ground. We will pre book your tour of the stadium to discover what happens behind the scenes and also sneak a peak into the museum to explore the clubs fascinating history. The ground is just 10 mins away by cab from the city centre. Whether youre a Manchester United fan or not, a visit to the Museum & Tour Centre is a day to remember! You can continue to visit Legoland Discovery Centre especially when you are travelling with Families Youll be on the edge of your seat as an incredible action adventure unfolds in 3D before your very eyes and then comes to life in the fourth dimension, too, as flurries of wind, rain, lightning and even snow burst into the auditorium! Visit the Lego factory & witness the local area come to miniature life in the spectacular MINILAND®. Made from nearly 1.5 million LEGO® bricks, with moving airships and trains, even the smallest spectator will feel like a giant! Children will be able to take part in their own driving adventure as they are let loose upon forest pathways in their own off-road LEGO vehicles! The challenge is on to capture the robbers who have stolen gold bars from the City in the Forest Pursuit driving adventure. Truly a fun filled day. Overnight in Manchester.
Day 10
Depart Manchester
Today its time to say good bye to this marvelous country as you take the train from the city centre to Manchester airport directly. Hope you have had a great holiday!!
