Christchurch - Queenstown

SIC - Christchurch to Queenstown Via MT. Cook excl Lunch
Leaving Christchurch in the morning travel through diverse farmland to Lake Tekapo, where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd and take in the sights of the spectacular Southern Alps mountain range. Then continue to the location of New Zealands tallest mountain Aoraki / Mount Cook. The tour continues south through the tawny tussock of the Mackenzie Country. The tour concludes this evening in world famous Queenstown. Highlights: Canterbury Plains, Geraldine, Lake Tekapo - a stunning glacial-fed lake, Church of the Good Shepherd, Lake Pukaki, Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, Optional scenic flight (additional cost, weather permitting), and Mackenzie Country scenery.

TSS Earnslaw Cruises Ex Queenstown - Without Transfer
Please report 20 minutes prior to sailing time. Activity is weather permitting

A one and a half hour scenic cruise onboard the coal fired vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw from Queenstown Bay to Walter Peak High Country Farm (without going ashore) and return. Onboard the captain provides a commentary as passengers enjoy spectacular views of Cecil and Walter Peaks and the western shores of Lake Wakatipu. The original steam engines can be seen in operation from the open viewing area. During the cruise the ships pianist entertains with a variety of old favourites and passengers are encouraged to join in the sing-a-long around the piano.

Franz Joseph to Greymouth
Please report 15 minutes prior to departure time
Pick up from Hotel, Travel north to Greymouth today and board the Tranz Alpine train.

Tranz Alpine train Greymouth To Christchurch
Pick up: 1:45 PM
Report 30 min prior to train departure. Board the train and ascend through lush beech forests past the alpine village of Arthurs Pass before crossing the spectacular Southern Alps. Travel over Canterbury Plains to Christchurch.
Departs: Greymouth Station: 01:45pm
Arrives: Christchurch Station: 06:05pm

Shuttle: Christchurch Railway Station to Christchurch Hotel
Come out of the train station and approach Super shuttle. SIC transfer from Christchurch Railway Station to Christchurch Hotel.
Overnight at hotel.
