Day 1
Venice
Arrival to Venice airport. Private transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Venice.
Day 2
Venice
Day at leisure; Optional Venice walking tour (duration approx. 2hrs). Meeting the official English speaking guide in St. Marks Square and guided visit to the historical centre of the city and its monuments. Itinerary: St. Marks Square, the Basilica, Doges Palace, Prisons and Bridge of Sights. The tour lasts about 2 hours. The tour includes a private guide while entrance fees are optional and therefore not included. For the visit of the Basilica, suitable clothes are requested. For security reasons sacks, bags or knapsacks are not allowed inside the Basilica, also the visit during liturgical celebrations is not permitted. Overnight in Venice.
Day 3
Opatija
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer from Venice to Opatija - ID or passport obligatory for border crossing! Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Opatija area.
Day 4
Opatija
Breakfast at the hotel. Day at leisure; Optional Istra tour (duration approx. 10hrs) Go back in history and visit one the most significant tourist region in Croatia and its beautiful towns; Rovinj - a typical medieval Venetian town, distinctive for its romantic narrow little streets and the imposing church of its patron saint, St. Euphemia; Porec an ancient town known for its masterpieces of Byzantine sacral art, the Euphrasius Basilica dating from the 6th century; and Pula - an ancient town with its well-preserved amphitheatre. Free time for lunch on own. Overnight in Opatija.
Day 5
Split
Private transfer from Opatija to Split; optional visit of Krka National Park enroute Surrounded by steep-sided canyons, along which runs the wide and plain rocky area, Krka suprises and enchants visitors with the force and blue colour of its waters, the noise of its cascades, the freshness of its scent, the numerous perennial - though not always visible springs, its rude existence and legends. Overnight in Split.
Day 6
Split
The day is at leisure; Optional Split sightseeing tour (duration approx. 2hrs) The Split private tour will take you along the Old City to visit main sights: the old town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century. The walking tour starts with a visit to the cellars of the Palace that are still very well preserved. The cellars offer a good view at how the life in the Palace was organized. The Cathedral St. Duje is a complex of a church, formed from an Imperial Roman mausoleum, with a bell tower; strictly the church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and the bell tower to Saint Duje. Together they form the Cathedral of St. Duje. The Jupiters temple is a temple dedicated to the god Jupiter of the ancient Romans, located near the Peristyle, the central square of the palace. It was built during the entire construction of Diocletians Palace. The entrance to the temple is one of the two sphinxes brought out of Egypt by the order of Emperor Diocletian. Other sites will be seen along the way. Overnight in Split.
Day 7
Dubrovnik
Private transfer from Split to Dubrovnik. Afternoon; Optional Dubrovnik sightseeing tour (duration approx. 2hrs) «.... those who seek paradise on Earth should come to Dubrovnik» (George Bernard Shaw) This tour will reveal the finest sites of the old walled City. The walking portion includes a visit to the Dominican monastery and cathedral. Our guide will lead you through the narrow streets of the Old Town introducing you to the history and culture of this magnificent city. Other buildings will be viewed along the way. Overnight in Dubrovnik area.

Dubrovnik
Day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Dubrovnik area.
Day 9
Dubrovnik
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer from the hotel to Dubrovnik airport.
